April 2021, our founder and principal, Dr. Chanda Nicole Holsey, had the distinct pleasure of producing a virtual medical education program that focused on Autism Awareness in the African American Community. She invited her public health colleague and good friend, Pamela Collins, to serve as a panelist to provide the parental perspective of caring for a daughter with autism.
The segment was powerful. Pam was an amazing addition. We at HALO for Families, Social Media Division, believe that this #NMATalks segment touched lives, helped to effectively educate others about autism, and informed viewers of the resources available to families. We are delighted that Pam, Gabby’s mom, significantly contributed to the program’s content and overall success! Cheers!
